Where to apply

The “Pet Registration” link under Citizen Services on the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) website opens the Haryana SARAL portal. Dog registration is applied for there, under the service “Issue Certificate of Dog Registration”. [S1]

Documents for a new registration

Mandatory: [S2]

  • One ID proof of the applicant: Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID, Driving Licence or Ration Card
  • A photo of the dog

The Pawsitive Hoomans Take

Registration can feel like paperwork, but it gives your dog an official record, and because the rabies certificate is mandatory, it nudges you to keep the most important vaccination current. Keep a copy of the registration certificate and the rabies certificate together on your phone, so you have both when renewal comes around.

🐾 Keep your dog’s rabies certificate, registration and vet records in one place with a free Pet Passport, so you have everything ready when it’s time to renew.
